Depending upon the situation, you could consider alternatives to hiring a lawyer for a specific matter, including: trying to working out an acceptable compromise with the people involved; contacting your local or state consumer protection agency; using impartial arbitration or mediation services; or taking the matter to small claims court.
You also may want to consider hiring a general practitioner attorney for one hour to get guidance in making your decision.
If you need a lawyer but cannot afford to hire one at the full fee, an additional option is to use a low-cost legal clinic. - What services do you provide for a flat fee
- How long should it take you to complete my case
- Will you personally work on my case, or will you delegate
